About Us

Family business in 1960’s consisted of show horses, cutting horses and cattle along with a Western Store. In the early 70’s we were one of the first to import Maine-Anjou Cattle and Blonde d’Aquitaine Cattle frozen semen so breeding knowledge started very early. My Dad was deep into the cutting horse industry using horses on our many sections of ranch as a necessity. The show horses were also a part of our ranching. He bred and raised our ApHC Stud Prince Louie standing him for years. We had many cutting horses from futurity finalists to son of Docs Okie Quitoe the triple crown winners first foal crop. One of our early foundation studs was Poco Nada which was an own son of Poco Bueno, which we breed to the ranch mares.

• Starting young, it was a way of life not a job. We trained and showed horses along with every aspect of the ranch. By 1977 I had won the Nation Championship in Cutting, Roping and Western Equitation and 1978 was the National Championship All Around Hi Point Youth.
• I continued training show horses for years and working with youth guiding them to success in all around. Eventually changing to the cutting horse industry. My forte was taking young futurity prospective cutting horses that were not making the top line of the high-level trainers show string and taking time needed to make great finished cutters out of them.
• Having worked with youth for a time you had to be able to fit the horse to the rider as well as fitting the rider to the horse in an effort to bind as one cohesive unit. This became a big need for the newly added Amateur venue in the National Cutting Horse Association when it got started. Open horses were to much for an Amateur to ride. Too quick and hard to ride as they were in a higher level of competition. The need for a softer horse became a need not just a horse that didn’t make for an open rider.
• Years have past and Amateurs have become much more evolved, but the basic idea is still the same. We match an individual and horse to each other. This is why we evaluate your riding skills and assess the horses as well when we come.
• Our experience in Horse Sales came in 1997 98 and 99 I was the first to be granted a non-sanctioned contract to provide the first NRHA sale on the Futurity Grounds in OKC The Preferred Reining Horse Sale. This led to many 1000’s of horses sold expanding to NRCHA and NCHA events. As the industry has changed online auctions have become a popular method of selling horses. We create select online auctions when the need arises to help our clients sell their stock.
• Over these years I have had many facilities. This has led to the ability to help you design a functional facility. From Barns, Stalls, Arenas, Paddocks and Pastures pretty much seen it all. We can evaluate your property whether it is built and needs more functionality or you’re building your dream Ranch from scratch. All things are considered and important, from soil to grass to fencing, roads, buildings and layout design.
